The English Montreal School Board (EMSB) is located on the vibrant island of Montreal, with schools across the city’s diverse neighborhoods. As Quebec’s largest English public school board, EMSB serves approximately 35,000 students in 33 elementary schools (Pre-K to Grade 6), 15 high schools (Grades 7 to 11), and 11 adult and vocational education centres.
EMSB is recognized for academic excellence, consistently achieving the highest graduation rate among Quebec’s public high schools. This success is driven by dedicated educators, passionate students, and strong family and community support.

I first started studying in Montreal, I had many difficulties because I had to learn English and French at the same time. But thanks to the help of many teachers and friends, I was able to overcome those difficulties. Don’t be afraid because you are not comfortable speaking in English and French. It is your first adventure in a new country. Embrace experience to make new friends who speak different languages. It opened my eyes to whole new world.

Go to the EMSB orientation for international students which will take place every year after the pandemic!!
