HIGH SCHOOL GRADUATION REQUIREMENTS
If students plan to graduate high school and receive a Quebec Secondary School Diploma, Students must pass all courses with a minimum of 60%. This includes successfully passing the required French as a Second Language course. An accumulation of 54 course credits in Secondary IV and V (Grade 10 & 11), with at least 20 credits at the Secondary V level are required to obtain a high school diploma.
The following is a list of required courses to successfully graduate high school according to the Quebec Education Plan. If you have any questions about your credit status, speak with your School Advisor or Guidance Counselor at school.

Students accepted in Secondary V (Grade 11) and need to successfully graduate high school will not have the French proficiency level to pass the course. Once the school year is completed, the student will need to register with the Adult Education Center to obtain the required credits to obtain a high school diploma.
*** All international students will need to obtain a passing grade of 60% for French as a Second Language course. The Ministère de l’Éducation (MEQ) will no longer be granting any exemptions for international students for this course.
*PLEASE NOTE: Many CEGEP programs have specific pre-requisites (entrance requirements) such as Math 506, Chemistry, Physics, etc…Please check CEGEP websites to make sure you have the requirements for the program you are interested in. If you have any questions about your credit status, see your Guidance Counsellor.
If you require Scientific Math, Environmental Science & Technology, Chemistry and Physics courses in order to enrol to a specific post secondary institution please note that following schools offer the courses needed.
